Cae Gwyn is the nearest campsite to the Coed-y-Brenin mountain bike centre, offering mountain-bike friendly facilities i.e. bike wash with jet hose, secure lock-up barn and drying room. Camping fields have room for 30 to 40 tents (adults: £7pppn, children: £3pppn) with clean and well-maintained facilities. Beautiful location with stunning views, catching the evening light of the Rhinog Mountains. The farm (organically run sheep farm) also offers self-catering camping barn, small caravan and en-suite B & B accommodation.
Guests are free to roam the 190 acres of farm land with its beautiful river, wonderful views and silent hidden picnic spots. Easy to find, lots of parking, plenty of secure storage for bikes.
Cae Gwyn Farm is siuated on the A470 just 2 miles north of the Coed y Brenin visitor centre, the farm actually borders the forest, so leave your car and ride out for the day - straight from the farm gate.
Make sure to book in advance as only pre-booked guests are admitted. Admission hours from 9am to 7pm (extended arrival time on Friday evenings by prior arrangement).
